Cookie Policy
How HookWatch uses cookies and similar browser storage — including an optional analytics choice.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Sites also use similar technologies such as local storage. They can keep you signed in, remember preferences, or measure usage.
How HookWatch uses cookies
Essential cookies
These are required for the dashboard to work — chiefly your authentication session. Without them you cannot stay signed in. They are set by HookWatch (via better-auth), not a third party.
Analytics cookies
If you choose “Allow analytics”, Trackdock (served from track.rundock.dev) receives
usage data such as the page URL, referrer, viewport size, engagement time, scroll depth, and
selected interaction events. It can also be configured to sample session replay; that setting is
stored only for the current browser session. Analytics is not loaded until you opt in.
Preference cookies
We may store non-essential preferences (such as your light/dark theme choice) in your browser. These are not used to track you across sites.
Third-party cookies
After consent, the marketing site and dashboard load the Trackdock analytics script. Third-party services you connect to HookWatch set their own cookies under their own policies, not ours.
Cookies we set
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | HookWatch (better-auth) | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard and secures your session. | Essential / session | 7 days (refreshed on activity) | Yes |
| Theme / UI preference | HookWatch | Remembers preferences such as your light/dark theme choice. | Preference (cookie or local storage) | Persistent until cleared | No |
| hw_analytics_consent_v1 / td_rr | HookWatch / Trackdock | Remembers analytics consent and, when enabled, whether an optional replay session was selected. | Preference / analytics (local or session storage) | Until cleared / browser session | No |
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you being able to sign in to the dashboard.
Changes
This page will be updated if our cookie usage changes. See the “Last updated” date above.
